Player Speed and Projectiles Upgrades


So yesterday I publicly released(?) my first-ever game(?) I've been working on trying and learning game dev. Itch asked me if I wanted to do a devlog and even though I'm just f'ing about with this project I thought it might be fun, and can give me some practice making and sharing GIFs, which is a real important muscle to flex I think,  and so I'm doing that now. 

Immediately what I heard from a lot of people is that I needed to increase the speed of the player, or at least add a way to increase player speed. Because admittedly, at the start, you do move pretttty slow. 



When I was testing it myself I found that it just became a bit too easy when you moved too fast, so I kept it slow. 

I guess that was a big whoops. 

Anyway, I still didn't want it to be too easy at the start. Even though probably nobody except my wife is actually going to try and beat this game (she did, earlier tonight, after about 50 tries) I still wanted to have some challenge or incentive to want to do more runs. So I added Speed as a persistent upgrade. I also marked it up a bit at a higher cost than the other upgrades since everyone was asking for more speed, so obviously, there was demand, so perhaps folks would play more to try and unlock more speed.  Soo... wa la..



PROJECTILES UPGRADE

I also added a new upgrade called Projectiles, which adds an extra coin or cash to the Coin Toss Weapon or the Make it Rain weapon when unlocked. 

Ok, that's all that changed for now.
